Dastan:Outside Electric Room (June 2017 – September 2018) came to life as a Dastan:Outside project with a print/installation show by Sina Choopani: WE ARE was part of this young experimental artist's explorations of a theme: heroes of a nation and how they become a hero -especially how they 'are', surrounding many of us. For this installation, Choopani had selected heroes from three decades of Iran's recent history: Behrouz Vossoughi in his iconic "Gheysar" pose from 1350's (1980's); multiple silkscreen prints of martyr's of Iran-Iraq's war during 1360's (1990's); and the trio of Ali Daei, Khodadad Azizi and Karim Bagheri as the heart of Iran's national football team during the 1370's (2000's). The audience were immersed in their images, while walking on white and red letters pronouncing "WE ARE". This is a one-minute interview with Sina Choopani about WE ARE at the former Electric Room.
