Dastan is pleased to announce “Silhouette”, a presentation by Arash Mirhadi at Electric Room. The show, comprised a series of drawings and an installation will be open to public view from August 17 to August 22, 2018.
Arash Mirhadi (b. 1981, Shiraz, Iran) is a graduate of traditional handicraft (Isfahan University of Art) and painting (Faculty of Art and Architecture, Azad University, Tehran). He works in the fields of drawing, illustration, photography and graphic design. His work has been featured in one solo exhibition (Golestan Gallery, Tehran) and several group shows.
In “Silhouette”, Arash Mirhadi has presented a series of his drawings alongside an installation. The installation consists of a book of drawings, a painting and a collection of four jars. The jars contain stuff the artist has obsessively collected while concentrating on his daily tasks. Most of the artist’s time during working on these works has been spent in solitude and thus these ‘silhouettes’ and their technique are inspired by Arash Mirhadi’s inward-looking approach.
