Dastan:Outside, in collaboration with 8Cube Gallery, is pleased to announce "Y E S.", a solo exhibition by Amirnaser Akhlaghi Fard, on view at 8Cube from September 18 through October 9, 2026.
In "Y E S!", Amirnaser Akhlaghi Fard begins with familiar images such as archers, human figures, and natural landscapes, yet does not preserve them in their initial forms. At times, a figure emerges through a few fluid lines on paper, while elsewhere it dissolves into fields of marks and recurring motifs. Archers appear against densely dotted backgrounds and cracked surfaces, while trees and landscapes become so intertwined with networks of texture that the image remains suspended between representation and abstraction. In some works, blues, greens, and purples accumulate across the surface; in others, a minimum of line and empty space carries the entire weight of the image.
This movement between clarity and disappearance forms part of what the artist describes as "saying yes to becoming": accepting the transformation of form rather than insisting on its return to an original state. In this series, painting becomes not a means of fixing the image, but a space for witnessing the moment in which the image is itself undergoing change.
Amirnaser Akhlaghi Fard (b. 1988, Tehran) holds a B.S. in Microbiology and is the sole apprentice of Farhad Moshiri.
Beginning his professional practice in 2014 at Homa Gallery, he has held several solo exhibitions, including "A Hunger for Disorder" (Homa Gallery, 2019), "Arrière-garde" (Homa Gallery, 2018), "In Absentia" (Nouvelle Vague Gallery, Spain, 2018), "The Guardians" (Homa Gallery, 2017), "Time to Sustain" (Homa Gallery, 2016), and "Theatrical" (Homa Gallery, 2015). His works have also been presented at WOPART Art Fair in Switzerland (2021), Magic of Persia Nowrouz Charity Auctions in Dubai (2015, 2016), Galerie Nicolas Flamel in Paris (2015), and numerous group exhibitions
