Overview
Mohammad Hossein Gholamzadeh | 'The Champion', Electric Room 05/50

Dastan is pleased to present Mohammad Hossein Gholamzadeh’s single-piece presentation titled “The Champion” at Electric Room from August 11 to 16, 2017. The piece is a fiberglas sculpture of a figure on a globe-shaped object. Describing the work, the artist says: “We always picture champions as ‘perfect’ human beings, but in reality, their ‘perfectness’ is always at risk and unstable. The current work shows what we call a champion; standing on an unknown and unsteady object and in constant risk of falling.”
Mohammad Hossein Gholamzadeh (b. 1986, Tehran, Iran) is a graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Tehran. His work has been exhibited in two solo exhibitions at Dastan’s Basement as well as several group exhibitions and international art fair presentations.
