Stephanie Bailey writes on the 28th edition Artissima 2021 for Ocula Magazine and dedicades several paragraphs to the works of Dastan's Asal Peirovi. The artist's "unframed and unstretched" canvas "Summer Snow" (2021) contrasts the angular forms that she sees in her train ride to and from her hometown of Sari in Northern Iran against a "landscape built from smooth, ink-like strokes of white that give way to flurries of dark blue tips, flicks, and bleeds".
