Sam Samiee | "A Universal Pink": Electric Room 03/50
Dastan is pleased to present “A Universal Pink: in Progress” (July 21 - 26, 2017) and “A Universal Pink” (July 28 - August 2, 2017) at Electric Room. During the first week, the artist will be working on setting up the presentation on site and visitors are welcome to see the work in progress. The final presentation will be on view from Friday, July 28, 2017.
Sam Samiee (b. 1988, Tehran, Iran) is an Iranian painter and essayist based in Amsterdam and Tehran. He has recently finished a two-year residency program at the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten. In his work, Samiee focusses on the practice of painting and research in history or philosophy, Persian literature, the history of painting and psychoanalysis.
