A solo painting exhibition of works By Amin Montazeri
TEHRAN – January 12, 2016. Dastan’s Basement is pleased to invite you to the opening of Amin Montazeri’s solo exhibition “A Detailed Account 2” on January 15, 2016. The exhibition will be open for public viewing through January 30. This is Amin Montazeri’s second solo exhibition in Dastan’s Basement. His work has been featured in Art Dubai 2015 (Dubai, UAE) and DDessin 2013 (Paris, France).
In “A Detailed Account 2”, Amin Montazeri continues his previous series of works, “A Detailed Account”, which was shown in Dastan’s Basement in 2014. While his first series involved parody and sarcasm, this new series focuses on contemporary readings of myths and legends, along with their impacts on human memory and social consciousness. Contrary to his previous series in which he changed the details of his accounts, in this new series, the viewer encounters real events.
Amin Montazeri’s delicate techniques draw inspiration from Persian Miniature painting as well as modern Western traditions, creating a detailed scene to express various aspects of the artist’s narrative.
