Seroj Barseghian | "Waves": Dastan+2

Dastan is pleased to announce Seroj Barseghian's solo exhibition titled "Waves" at Dastan+2. The exhibition opens on Friday, May 10, 2019 and will be open for public viewing through May 24, 2019. "Waves" is the artist's first exhibition at Dastan. Seroj Barseghian (b. 1953, Isfahan, Iran) is a graduate of University of Tehran's Faculty of Fine Arts.

The current exhibition consists of a series of Seroj Barseghian's recent works from "Eighth Element". A number of works from this series was displayed at his previous solo exhibition, which was at Tehran's Atbin Gallery in 2017. "Eighth Element", which has been in the works since 2004, is the result of the artist's studies in "physics, color and waves".

Throughout his studies and experiments, he has believed that "strips -in addition to line, shape, space, value, form, texture, and color- can be a basic element in art." Seroj Barseghian states that "these strips can become an alternative opportunity to develop human imagination and visualization".
