Seroj Barseghian Iranian/ Armenian, b. 1953
Seroj Barseghian (b. 1953 in Isfahan, Iran) is a painting graduate of University of Tehran, where was also lecturer.
Seroj Barseghian's studies on the physics of colors and waves have occupied him since 2003. His multifaceted career, working with colors and image in the textile and design industries, alongside his métier as a painter, has equipped him with a structured and systematic mind. His practice as a painter is also akin to research and study. Barseghian believes that “strips – in addition to line, shape, space, value, form, texture, and colour – can be a basic element in art ... these strips can become an alternative opportunity to develop human imagination and visualisation."
Seroj Barseghian has had a number of solo exhibitions since 1990 at galleries across Tehran, and has participated in many group exhibitions in Paris, Mexico City and Tehran.
