Dastan is pleased to announce that Kamrooz Aram, represented by the gallery, has been selected as one of the recipients of the 2025 Stepping Stone Grant, awarded by the New York–based Trellis Art Fund. The annual grant supports 20 artists with an unrestricted USD 40,000, distributed over two years, and is considered among the notable funding initiatives for individual artists in the United States.
Iranian-born and Brooklyn-based, Aram works across painting, photography, sculpture, and collage, critically examining the boundaries between fine art and design and addressing the persistent hierarchies between Western and Eastern art histories. His selection — alongside artists such as Kang Seung Lee and Aki Sasamoto — underscores his continued impact and presence within the international contemporary art landscape.
