Dastan is pleased to announce the release of "Sahand Hesamiyan: Primary Structures", the artist’s first monograph, published by Black Dog Press. This debut volume brings together two decades of Hesamiyan’s sculptural practice, accompanied by an introduction and two critical essays.
Sahand Hesamiyan’s minimal and often monumental work explores the ties between geometry, mythology, and philosophy in Islamic and Persian architecture. His pieces — ranging from large-scale metal sculptures to intricate paper works — draw on centuries of craftsmanship and tradition, evoking a timeless and deeply reflective feeling.
