‘Emotions of the Sun’, a photography exhibition by Magnum Photos, curated by Pauline Vermare, debuts in Garden Senato Milano. The show features 40 never-seen-before photographs from 8 internationally renowned artists, including Newsha Tavakolian. As the relationship between the artist and light (the sun) is considered fundamental to photography, the exhibition's theme evokes various emotions for the artists to capture. The artists employ diverse approaches to explore the exhibition's central theme. Infusing her photographs with a hopeful tone, Newsha Tavakolian connects the sun to the concept of female empowerment. Her artworks, influenced by Shahrokh Meskoob's book "Conversations in a Garden," aim to capture the inner radiance and warmth within people.
