Paul Laster of Galerie Magazine reports on the 2021 FIAC at the Grand Palais Éphémère in Paris. The 47th edition of the famed art fair boasted the presence of 170 galleries from 25 countries. "Hoda Kashiha mixed cartoons and pop culture imagery in her paintings," writes Paul Laster on Dastan's booth, "and Farrokh Mahdavi employed thick pink paint to make grotesque self-portraits meant to mock the process of aging."
