The 2021 Sovereign Asian Art Prize

Since 2003, the Sovereign Asian Art Prize has been held annually in Asia to raise funds for programs that support disadvantaged children by using expressive arts. This makes It the most prestigious and established art award in the region.

"This year's finalists were selected from a record number of 700+ entries, and come from 17 countries and regions across Asia-Pacific. Of the artists, 28 are completely new to The Prize - appearing in our shortlist for the very first time!"

Dastan is pleased to announce that this year, Mamali Shafahi's work is also on the list; his "Heirloom Velvet" has been nominated by Hamidreza Pejman.
