Press release

TEHRAN – October 27, 2015. Dastan +2 is pleased to invite you to the opening of its first exhibition entitled “Mosavvar-Nameh” (The Book of Illustrations), featuring works by Ahmad Amin Nazar, Fereydoun Ave, Tala Madani, Farshid Mesghali, Ardeshir Mohassess, Nikzad Nodjoumi, and Ali Akbar Sadeghi, on October 30. The exhibition will be open for public viewing through November 28.

Mosavvar-Nameh aims beyond a single art exhibition and defines itself as an ongoing project with a broader perspective. With this project, Dastan seeks to identify a series of unifying thematic elements in the works of some of its favorite artists, referencing both contemporary Iranian painting and its heritage. A companion catalog has been published on the occasion of this exhibition, containing more information on this subject.
