TEHRAN – November 25, 2015. Dastan+2 is pleased to invite you to the opening of Farhad Gavzan’s solo exhibition entitled “The Drawings of Farhad Gavzan” on November 27. The exhibition will be open for public viewing through December 19. This is Farhad Gavzan’s first solo exhibition in Dastan.

Some of these works were previously exhibited in Dastan’s booth in START Art Fair at Saatchi Gallery, London from September 10 to 13, 2015. Dastan's booth, which was located at the curated section of the fair titled “This is Tomorrow”, was dedicated to showcasing the works of Farad Gavzan, including six pieces from the artist’s most recent series as well as a monumental work spanning 150 x 1000cm.

Gavzan believes the most significant element of these works to be their “form” and that their themes, following his previous body of work, are personal, focusing on bit to bit creation. Closed forms are widely used in these works that are either oval or imply an oval form.
