This series reinterprets the concept of the lantern in a contemporary context. The objects—crafted from semi-opaque glass and stainless steel—glow softly, as if containing light without emitting it. Through this contrast of illumination and stillness, each piece transforms its surrounding space, remaining faithful to the lantern’s original poetic role as both a functional and spiritual presence. The interplay of light and form in these works seeks to echo the essence of Islamic architecture, where light is not merely a source of illumination but a conduit for deeper meaning and reflection.
